The philosophy driving Minimalist is one of investment in conscientious consumption and traceability. All of the collection’s ingredients—from the water-preserving Tencel jersey used for T-shirts to ecological elastic to the non-toxic, water soluble garment bags

—have been thoroughly researched and certified to best- in-class standards in conjunction with GRS, GOTS, FSC®, bluesign®, bioRe®, and Oeko-Tex®.

FABRICS
We use innovative fabrics made from organic and/or recycled content or a single fiber whenever possible to ensure the highest potential for recyclability. Sourced from the most advanced mills in Europe, each fabric has a luxurious hand and is certified to the highest standard of responsibility and sustainability in terms of hazardous chemicals, organic fibers, conscientious forestry and safe working conditions. Our key fabrics include Portuguese viscose satin containing EcoVero™ fibers, biodegradable TENCEL™ jersey made from botanical raw material, Italian velour crafted from organic cotton and recycled fibers, and Japanese organic cotton and denim.

TRIMS
Each trim is finished to the standard we uphold for our fabrics. The details are as considered as the garment’s main material. Elastic is sourced from Austria and crafted from organic cotton and natural, biodegradable and recyclable rubber. Italian-made, Oeko-Tex® certified zipper finishes are free of harmful chemicals. Shoulder pads and interlinings are made from GRS certified post-consumer recycled materials.

PACKAGING & BRANDING
Packaging and branding materials are another important opportunity to make impactful, responsible choices. We use recycled paper hangers and hang tags. Garment bags are fully compostable or water-soluble, meaning they dissolve in hot water and are marine-safe. Boxes and tissue paper are 100 percent recycled and made from 95 percent post-consumer waste. Zero-waste stickers are made in the USA from 100 percent recycled post-consumer paper and are curbside recyclable.
